Penny and Geoff at the Whangamomona Hotel helped me organise a surprise party for my husband . They hid all the guests and played along to ensure that it was a COMPLETE surprise. We booked out the whole hotel and had a great time, with excellent service, extra entertainment from Geoff, and real country hospitality. Highly recommended!

What a great idea this is. I worked in the Wanga area yrs ago and of course had a bit to do with the pub. Played rugby for the local team, early 60s, photo on the wall. Great place, but most of all for me the poeple there in my time were fantastic. Cheers

 There was a film 'The Big Fat One' directed by a Tony Williams and filmed I believe in your area and there abouts. Will it be screened or shown in the near future ? Will it be at the hotel or in New Plymouth or Stratford? Regards
