28/6/08 I celebrated my birthday with my Wellington and Taranaki families at the hotel. Weather was typical winter - cold with showers BUT the welcome from Penn y and Geoff was warm and the atmosphere was fantastic. Good food, great hosts - thoroughly recommend if you want a break away.

Was taken here for a surprise weekend and what a wonderful time we had. From journeys to the "Bridge to Somewhere" and 2 hr rugged bush walks and then back to the pub for satisfing meals and chilling out by the fire. Thanks for making our 2 night stay so special.

On a whim we took the forgotten highway and were delighted to find the whangamomona Hotel. A great place to stay with a friendly relaxed family orientated atmosphere. We would definitely recommend it.

What a great place to visit. Warm, comfortable, great food and very welcoming. Geoff & Penny are the ideal hosts for this gem on the "Forgotten World Highway" We will certainly visit again .

Two years since the last stay and really impress by the new hosts and upgraded decor. A scrummy dinner and as always a breakfast to die for!!. A host with a great sense of humour. There's some great tramping and MtBiking in and around Whangamomona. Will be back.
